Marmite has a small ish, what I think is, an abcess? I drained it and it was thick and black. She doesn't seem too bothered. Should I put something on it? Thanks
If it's thick & black it is almost certainly a sebaceous cyst. It probably needs looking at by a vet but they can sometimes happily live with them. I've had 2 piggies who've had successful ops for sebaceous cyst removal. Mousey last year & my most recent rescue piggy, Rex 6 weeks ago.
If there's a hole there, I would definitely book her into the vets because of possibility of an infection which would be much worse than a cyst. If you have treated animals before then you could bath it in a saline solution, you can also apply honey (preferably Manuka) to the wound which is also good at stopping infection as it was used post-op care before penicillin was discovered. But a trip to the vets would be best in case there is a problem already, they would probably at least prescribe Baytril to use as an antibiotic.
