Absess

So poppy developed a small abscess on her nose and we took her to the vet 2 days ago and the vet scheduled a surgery date which is in 5 days. Well I was heading to bed and I was feeding them when poppy ran up to me I noticed her nose was wet but when I looked at it further the abscess had popped and I have not idea what to do

If the abscess has burst it probably cannot now be removed by surgery, but will definitely need flushing out by the vet (who can also show you how to flush it at home, usually burst abscesses need keeping open and flushing repeatedly over several days or even longer) and a course of strong antibiotics. So phone the vet and try get an appointment today if possible x
