after doing a tour of all the late night pharmacies i have had no luck in finding some activated charcole....
if anyone has some going spare i would really apreiciate it... obviously i will come and get it... and pay you for it...
i have a piggie with the runs...
please no one jumo down my throat telling me to go to the vets... i am well aware of how bad the runs can be... but its only a slight bout of it and activated charcole will do the trick to sort her out... i just run out and didnt realise it...
so... please anyone who has some going spare please let me know...
thanks...

I have some but I'm a million miles away from you.

most aquatic shops stock activated carbon

there telling me to feed bio-laips... wont give me activated charcole... they were my first port of call...

I'm not being funny but, to me, a probiotic does sound like a good idea and if you don't trust your Vet then I hope you think about finding one which you do trust to take advice from.

Did they say why they wouldn't give you any charcoal?

I really hope you can get piggy better very soon.

I'm giving her the probiotic... just would prefer to stick with what i know... which is activated charcole...
they woudlnt give me it becuase there wasnt a vet to prescribe it... and if i wanted it that badly i'd have to do call out charges etc... which my pocket really cant stretch too... :(
shes not horedously sick... just got a little bit of the runs... still eating etc...

Ah I see. Well hopefully it's not a bacterial thing and will clear up very soon. As she's still eating ok, maybe a bit of banana might help firm things up a little?

Fingers crossed.

Try banana in the mean time, as that should work and if the piggy has lost some weight due to the runs the banana should give piggy extra calories :-)

Can't another vet in your area prescribe some for *?

Paediatric Kaolin works well for upset stomachs. Just make sure it is the paediatric one otherwise it contains morphine.

What about fibreplex? It's a probiotic but it also bulks up their poo and keeps their digestive transit moving. It's not prescription so you should just be able to pick some up from your local vet
