We were told they were both girls and named them Molly and Belle.
Called out vet and she said to bring them right in.
They are healthy and no mites.
We thought they were sisters but they are brother and sister and our vet said they have to be separated and if we want them together we need to have max neutered. Belle became Max.
She loaned us a nice sized cage to keep him in til he is neutered next month-April 3.
They are 5 weeks old and have been kept together and I am hoping they have not done the deed yet.
 
It's quite possible that she is pregnant already as they can breed from 3 weeks old.

Please inform the rescue that you got them from that they are not sexing correctly and if you're worried about having a pregnant pig then they should offer to take them back and give you two girls.
 
Oh gosh! As @Jaycey says, it's their mistake and should give you some kind of support with the neutering, taking in any babies or other options.
Please treat your sow as being pregnant even though it's too early to tell. Sows have their first season between 4 and 6 weeks and baby boars can do the deed from around 3 weeks of age.
It's very important, especially as she is still so young herself, that the babies are of a suitable size for the birth (not too big) so a pregnancy diet if very important indeed for maximising the chances of a smooth birth.

Ty and my vet called the rescue and even if she is pregnant I am keeping her and the boar.
 
Sounds like you have a very supportive vet
 
I've seen your other thread and they are very cute looking piggies. Congratulations.
What a mix up on the sexing, though! Let's hope there are no unexpected babies (although they are gorgeous) and that Max and Molly can live happily ever after once he's safely 6 weeks post neutering.
I think I'd like your vet. She has been so supportive to you.

TY so much and I was going to ask how long past neutering can they be together. I have read 4 weeks but am happy to hear 6 weeks also. TY and our vet has been very good.
 
It is still possible to have a pregnancy even after 5 weeks post neutering. However we've never heard of a single one after 6 weeks so it's worth waiting the extra few days to be absolutely certain.

That's so great that you are going to keep them both. Fingers crossed the sow is not pregnant.
