I'm looking to adopt a further two guinea pigs, i already have Pauly (brown/white stripe) who was purchased in January from pets at home, and recently George (white/ brown head) was adopted at the pets at home rescue centre as he was unwanted due to his size. They got on almost immediately and now cannot be separated. I have a large garden with two out door pens and hutch plus 2 indoor cages.

I was wondering if anyone could advise as to where else i could possibly adopt or purchase them in the Liverpool area/ Merseyside... ie. recommended breeders/ pet stores etc.
Any help would be great!
Thankyouuuu :)

Hi and welcome!

Please be aware that we are a rescue friendly forum and as per forum rules do not give out breeders' links, nor do we support buying piggies from shops - we get to deal only too often with all the problems unbonded, ill, missexed and pregnant shop piggies cause to the unwary!

Here is a link to a constantly updated map that lists recommendable guinea pig rescues nationwide; all the rescues listed will only rehome health checked, properly sexed, well bonded and guaranteed not pregnant piggies. Your currently closest rescue is in Stoke-on-Trent, but they are a great place to rehome piggies from!

Nobody on here will recomend you a breeder or pet shop as we are a rescue friendly forum :) however hopefully someone will be along to advise your closest local rescue. :)

I would just like to check, your new pair, do you intend to house them all 4 together, or as 2 seperate pairs? :)
