I've seen two books for sale;

The Diagnostic Guide to Guinea Pig Problems
This one is on the British Association of Rodentologists website for £30 (to the UK)

Diseases of Domestic Guinea Pigs
This is on eBay and Amazon (£27.04 on Amazon)

Has anyone got either of these? Are they good? What about for a pet owner rather than a vet/rodentologist? Will it be a bit over my head?

I would like a good book for a bit more knowledge, but they are quite pricey and I'd rather not spend £30 to find out that it is over my head.

Thanks! :)p

I have both. The book from the CCT is very easy to understand, well worth owning!

Diseases of Domestic Guinea Pigs is written in medical terms, so although useful you will learn a lot more a lot quicker from Vedra's book. :)

I have this one - its great to see something a bit more detailed then the basic guinea pig care book, although it is a bit over my head. Vets aren't always great with guinea pigs, so its useful to read up on your guinea pigs problem, and possible treatments before visiting the vet. I always bring this with me too - just in case!
