Hello.Just looking for a little advice, hoping someone can help.As some of you will know,I rescued an adult male piggy end of last year.I later bonded him with Harvey,a baby I bought. They bonded extremely well and have been living together now for around 3 months. For the last 2.5 months my eldest Boar has been trying to mount my baby Boar,he wasn't doing it much at first but now it is alot.Neither piggys are neutered,as I knew they wern't going to be around any Sows,so didn't think it was nessasary. My baby piggy seems to be getting very aggitated lately by my eldest Boar,I have just returned from holiday and was told by the lady who looked after my boys that my elder boar has been doing this alot.Is there anything I can do?They don't fight at all,but my baby Boar is getting aggitated at the eldest boys constant chasing and mounting :(
many thanks in advance.
Bev

You can start by offering them some piggy-sized stuffed toys (without chewable bits like eyes and noses, ones suitable for young babies are good), as they might turn their ahem...frustrations...onto the stuffed toys as they don't run away!

It should all calm down once baby has passed his hormonal stage!

Someone with a bit more experience will no doubt be along with more info soon!

Thank you.The boys have 2 of everything and allways have had...2 toys...water bottles...bowls etc etc.I'm at a loss :(

What size cage are they in? Sometimes that can make them behave more dominantly, especially as the piggy is getting older their 'threat' to the other of being top pig is emerging and so size will be a bigger issue (in terms of cage). It's good that you have two of everything though.

They have a large rabbit hutch, with 2 sections.Space definateky isn't the problem though as they have more than enough x

Stuffed animals in every hidey and tons of hiddies. Tunnels, huts, etc. At least three huts maybe two or three tunnels.

Is very good;)
