Can't believe after saying how calm my boys are at the moment it now transpires that the abcess on Bubble's face was caused by a bite:red. Anyway having had this all cleaned up today ( looks so miserable) should I separate them for the night just in case it all kicks off again? we can do this easily with a bit of caging so they can still see and smell each other. Bubbles was the original bully and I think the reason that things were lookin calmer is possibly because George had a go back. Bubbles is now in the run in his carry case after having been treated, looking very sorry for himself and we're just a little hesitant in putting him back. Thanks in advance :)

I don't really know their background story, but if that was the first bite, and if they seem calm now then I'd chance them being together again maybe. Cos with my boys, they made friends but then I found a bite on one, but it was an old bite, and they are still friends now . . . so even after they have a fight, they could possibly still be friends.

But it's up to you if you want to risk it. I hope it goes ok either way

Bubbles bit George about a month ago they've both had a fungal infection, had holiday boarding and raging hormones all within that month (they are both eighteen months old and have lived happily together before all this) we thought things had been ok this last fortnight and after closer examination of Bubbles's abcess it appeared that George had bitten back. I think they could be ok but am just worried as poor old Bubbles has had to have a big clean up and shave around his chops, maybe just for one night perhaps

As long as they can still interact through the mesh you are OK.

Hi, yes thanks for that, they've had a good sniff of each other and have now gone off to do their own thing. I'm off to pick some dandelions (their favourite) that'll cheer them up x
