Hi I'm not sure if this is the right place to post but, one of my piggies vanilla lost the use of her back legs on monday night, took her to the vet and they gave a pinkiller injection. i took her home and set up a cage in the living room for her (they have they're own room) so we could keep an eye on her.

She kind of regained the use in her legs she can use them but bunny hops and when she stops her legs dont come forward to tuck under her (hope that makes sense mallethead)

well anyway on wednesday i put her cage inside the others cage so she has company, she is eating and drinking fine but her legs dont appear to have got any better.

Am i being impatient or does she need to go back to the vets?

Has anybody else experienced this?
Sorry for the long post I'm just worried she wont get any better.

she is about 7 months old and was fine before this happened.

Thanks
Laura x

Has your vet ckecked for scurvy - vitamin C deficiency? You could try giving her extra vitamin C by dissolving part of a normal tablet in 1-5 ml of water and then syringing it to her or by placing a little bit of tablet well in her mouth. See whether that helps.

she gets fed pepper, brocolli, lettuce, cucumber, celery, cabbage, spinach, kale, carrot, sweetcorn, parsley, dill and coriander, obviously not all at the same time as well as hay and nuggets, the vet didnt seem to think it was a vitamin c deficiency.
