I was in my local pet store yesterday and saw a notice saying "male and female (pregnant) guinea pigs need rehoming includes hutch and accesories the lot £30" with a phone number...now i have got the space especially if they come with a decent hutch but i'm going to have to seperate the boar right away and as I only have sows he will be lonely...unless some of the babies are male or I could get them and then try to find them forever homes. I'm just really worried about the female if she is getting her vit c ect. Arr my head says just leave it but my heart is saying phone them and see if they are still availble :'(. What would you do.
Thanks
Sarah

Hi Sarah,

You on the Wirral? I think I remember you posting that. I'm in Liverpool so if you needed a hand with the boar or baby boys then I could help out no problem.

I would feel the same way as you, I would be very tempted to phone and get them, that way, you would know they are being looked after well. :) :) :)

Hi Louise yes i am on the wirral i didnt write down the number yesterday so i'm either going to have to wait till tomorrow and phone the pet store or go now (luckily its in the window)

Arrgh just got back from the pet shop and phoned the owner only to be told "we're keeping the mum and dad to breed from and are selling the babies you can have one if you want!" Poor poor piggies being turned into breeding machines :'( I think i'll go and have a glass of wine and give the girls a cuddle

Oh no how awful. I'm hating seeing my baby girl pregnant she looks to tiny and to be made to breed and breed is just horrid!
At least you tried tho x

Thats horribe! Would hate to put my girls though it. :'(

poor piggies - gonna get rid of them just like that then keeping them to breed :-\
