Hi........ and hey ask whatever questions you like :)

OK for food etc.. i'd be looking in our food section.........up the top you'll see a food list, of the good ones :) and also for housing etc..

You might like to have a good look around and read the stickies/threads in each section to get some of the info you will need......... then after that perhaps start up a thread of things you're unsure of :)

Of course.........most essential :).........whee'd all love to see a pigture of your little one x) photobucket is one of the ones recommended, if you need instructions look up the top in the stories section and you'll see how to post a picture !

First time having a guinea pig just want to make my piggy the happiest :) any advice? all is appreciated

Well, I noticed you said Guinea pig and not pigs so by experience I would definitely get a pair and not just one to keep him at his happiest... My guy started out so talkitive and happy and now he's just quiet unless I have him out playing with him or he hears the veggies coming rolleyes I am desperately trying to get him a friend. I would think about getting two before getting one and two require the same amount of room as one (2x4ft) so why not just fill up that space with more happiness? Good luck on your new piggie though and hopefully piggieS

xx Mercedes

Research everything! I've had pigs for just over six years and I still feel there's so much to learn. When it comes down to it, they're one complex animal.

It can all seem a little overwhelming at first but in the end all your time and effort will make for one very happy pig! :(|)

Also if you're looking into homing another pig, you could perhaps contact a local rescue. You might just be suprised at how many pigs there are out there needing homes.

(ohh, I noticed your location. I think you might have a piggy rescue not too far from you) ok, you're right, one step at a time... ;)
