I had to take back 1 of my piggys today. ive kept the rex as his more mellow but i had to get rid of my other piggy as they were fighting alot. I'm very sad to see him go and i feel bad. But iv been looking of Milo lots today and given him lots of treats :smitten:

on the bad side my other guinea is still very scatty and no matter what i do to interest him he still very shy and really scratches me :'(

Give him time......you haven't had him very long...? you'll just have to be patient, maybe just sit near him and talk softly..little steps if you get my drift :)

He'll come round, it's still all very new for him at the moment :)

Sammy's right, they take a while to learn to trust people, try not to take it personally :) Perhaps when he's a bit more settled you may like to try for a pal for him again? :)

yeah id like to do that. i would get a rescue piggy tho if i could

Thats too bad that it didn't work out :(
But you made the right decision =)

am so sorry you had to return one of your babies, could you not have kept him in a seperate cage and try again later? perhaps when older your boy can lose his boyhood and you could get him some girlie friends :smitten: :smitten: :smitten: 9 days isn't really long enough for them to have settled in and patience is needed for your boy to get use to you. guinea pigs are bottom of food chain, everyone to them is a predator so instinct is to run. good luck with him. hugs and cuddles :smitten: :smitten: and the girls send :-* :-* :-*
