Aggressive Sow

Binky has become quite a bully - I love her to bits but she is a bad tempered sod - with humans and guinea pigs (she is my one biter and will growl if touched). Jet and Biscuit snap back but Zigg is constantly being chased by her.

Because of the 2 level cage it’s been ok but I think when willow is introduced she will bully willow too. I have to admit my main reason for willow was a friend for Zigg. Jet has Biscuit (they adore each other and sleep together) and Binky tolerates Jet.

I’m considering putting Zig and willow upstairs - but then again uncle Jet has met willow and is so gentle with her.

I’m going to try a bonding session, last time Biscuit just stepped in and told Binky off for bullying but I don’t think she is up for it anymore.

I’m wondering whether a trip to the vets may be in order to check for cysts as she hasn’t always been this bad, she used to be submissive.

Sounds like it would be worth a vet check. Is it also possible she knows Biscuit can't put her in her place any more and she is trying for top pig spot?

I think a trip to the vets for cyst problems would be a good idea!

She is now the heaviest. I just wish it didn’t involve chasing Zigg onto the carrot house.

Thank you all, I will book a vets appointment. She is very very grumpy.
