One of my baby pigs has white roots but brown fur. The description (to me at least) sounds like agouti but she doesn't look like it.

Will she grow in or out of it? And is there a name for it?

Can we see pigtures please so we can understand what you are looking at too?

Agouti is where the tips of the fur are white, I think? Arthur is a silver Agouti. The tips of his fur is white, but when you look at the base it's actually black (I was surprised how dark it actually is!) so he has a grey appearance. Hopefully you can see it on his face in the picture below.

She actually sounds a bit like my Ava. She's mostly brown but has lots of white mixed in with white roots. It's really strong around her eyes! Base of the hair is white but it turns brown. I thought she had bald patches at first. No idea what her colour is!

With her friend Minnie.

Agouti is generally alternating bands of two colors down the length of the hair (Hadley, in the avatar picture, is a lemon agouti with black/buff bands that you can see on the longer hairs behind her ears.) That doesn't look like an agouti color variation to me in the picture. There are definitely pigs with color gradations along the length of the hair, but they need the bands to be agouti.
