Albino piggies in runs?

Do we need to get a completely covered run for our albino guinea pig? Our other guinea pig is tortie and white so will be fine.
 
what? Why will your other one be fine? What difference does the colours make?

Completely covered? As in, keeping the shade on your piggies?

It is safer for any piggy to be in the shade :)
 
I was told today that one of my baby piggies had got sunburn :tickedoff:
She was totally out of it for a few days but she seems to be ok now apparently.

Won't go into the whole story but I nearly asked for her back.

I would advise a good amount of shade.
 
Its just that most runs ive seen have an open bit, and then an indoor covered bit..

I havent seen any runs that are 100% shaded.
 
I drape a sheet over mine when it's very sunny,
they also have hidey houses to go in, don't know why I bother with the sheet to be honest they hardly ever come out of the houses!
