Hi everyone, just after an opinion or 2. Fed our boy a segment of orange about 10a.m. (as a treat) and since about 1.15 this afternoon his cecal poops have been extremely soft and sticking to his bottom. Allergic to orange? Should I wait it out?

Please take your boy off any fresh food for the time being. If the poos don't firm up again until Monday evening, have him seen promptly on Tuesday; sooner as an emeergency if he is getting worse.

Introduce fresh veg only slowly and gradually, adding after the poos have firmed up again for 48 hours. Weigh him at the same time and if necessary top him up with syringe feed or mushed up pellets and water. Stay off oranges and other fruity treats and rather give fresh herbs like coriander, parsley, dill, mint, basil, fennel or leaf celery.

Thanks for the reply, He's eating fine, he's only got access to hay and pellets and he doesn't seem out of the ordinary at all, I will of course, be watching him very closely.

Just a quick update, our little lad seems fine and back to normal as of yesterday evening, will keep monitoring him and reintroduce some veggies tomorrow. He's giving us the big squeaks as I type this. Thanks
