Prince Hary lives on his own and loves been out his house and I am wondering about allowing him to free range while I am in the house, I want to still allow my other two to get a regular good run as well but I have been taking the top off his cage and allowing to come and go as he wishes I have put a sheet under the sofa where he likes to sit in case of any puddly accidents what are other peoples experiences of allowing piggies to free range?

Thank you from Prince Harries loyalist servent

As long as he can not get to electrical wires which he could chew, I do not see a problem.
Honkey is allowed free range when we are both in the livingroom. I have blocked places where I do not want him going with old pillows.
I have newspaper down under the radiator which is where he goes to the loo.

As you know Wanda our Romey and Murphy go free range whenever someone is in and when we are at work they are free range in the kitchen with the door shut they can get back into their cage as its on the floor.

They mainly do their wees and poops in the cage or in one corner which i now put a cardboard box there for them to poo in!

The main thing like Honkeys Mum said is blocking off wires and things they can chew. I have things blocking off wires. Dont under estimate Harrys strength as my Murphy is so strong with his head he can push things out of the way that you would not believe. He can also paw doors open just like the cats do.

We have learnt after

1 lamp cable not switched on thank god
1 internet cable
1 mobile phone charger
1 laptop charger cable
and five pairs of shoe laces and seven pairs of boots and shoes got chewed up.

They are so fast as well at chewing, it doesnt take long and they are through it. ;D

Apart from that its great fun i love to see them trotting round the bungalow making their sweet little noises. :smitten:

Be prepared for the evils you will get when you shut him away at night. Romey gets a right strop on with me.

Mine are free range though take it in turns, so 24 hours a day, 2 piggies are out and about! I leave them out when I go out and at night too. Everything is piggy proofed as I also once lost internet and phone courtesy of Lennie ;D When I got Lennie, who was my first piggy, he was on his own and he had free run of the lounge day and night, I must say, he loved it :smitten:
