I recently visited a child's farm\ play centre and felt so sorry for the guinea pigs as they were kept in hutches that were no bigger than kitchen cupboards all piled on top of one another. I wondered if there is a law regarding minimum size of a hutch as wondered whether to contact the RSPCA. The animals looked healthy and well fed but it was so depressing to see them stacked in tiny boxes and only taken out to sit on a child's lap with a brush.

The RSPCA website says "The minimum cage size for two guinea pigs should be 120cm x 60cm x 45cm".
Sounds to me like the cages were too small. How many were in each hutch?

There were about 20 hutches on top of one another floor to ceiling high. And they just looked like cupboards with wire fronts. Felt so sorry for them.
