Or whatever they are called as they are hard to find here and also can’t find one on ebay Australia and they are really expensive to get off ebay in other countries. Currently getting hay all through the washing machine and then having to scrub the machine out like mad when I have to do human loads. Is their a alternative?

Could you make one? It's literally just material and a zip, although I haven't tried (sheer laziness on my part!) I don't think it would be terribly difficult? Wouldn't need to be pretty either which is my kinda project :))

For beds, tunnels and small fleece items I use zip up cushion covers. I got them from Ikea. I didn't get them for that reason, already had them in a cupboard and thought they aren't much different to a horse bag! For the larger items like the fleece cage liners I use a zip up duvet cover. Got it cheap off eBay :)

I used to use an old single duvet cover. My fleeces are so large now I can't get anything extra in the machine! I bought my machine when I was living on my own and only filled it once a fortnight! It's only got a 5kg drum, it's years old. Why is it the things you would like to replace and can't justify doing so go on for years whereas the domestic appliances you love pack up just out of guarantee!

Great minds think alike!

Mines a new machine as my old one finally kicked the bucket after 14 years of service! I went for the cheapest one I could get and it's great but like yours, only a 5kg drum. I did 4 loads today, all piggy stuff!

I find this too, nothing is built to last more than a year any more which is conveniently how long the warranty lasts for.

I could but might need to learn how to sew a zipper in first. Somehow they look like something for the to hard basket lol.

try and make one.. if you can get the fabric - can't remember what sort mine is - will have a look - its quite simple - saying that - i can sew but HATE zippers !

you want some heavy duty flag material type thing - polyester i think..

I've never actually sewn a zip properly before so I don't know how hard it is XD You could maybe make it with buttons or poppers but it probably wouldn't be as effective?

I wash my fleece items, piggy beds etc in two old pillow cases and use about 5 nappy pins along the top of each one otherwise the pee pads can escape out of the top. I like the idea of a zip duvet cover @Eileen's Mum might have to go for that idea!
