I don't know whether I'm not feeding them enough or if they're just trying their luck and being greedy but every time I walk past the cage, all my pigs squeak enthusiastically. I refill their hay every time its low, I give a tablespoon of muesli (per pig) every morning, and they get a handful of veg each day.... that seems like enough! Are they just being greedy?

I think what you are doing is fine. You give unlimited hay and pellets/veg on top which is all they need. My pigs live outside & are fed their evening veggies roughly the same time each evening but recently i brought all 6 inside due to the storms & every single time I walked past, opened the fridge or rustled a bag they went nuts thinking they were being fed. I stuck to my routine but they did get a bit of extra parsley here and there as they are just too cute (and greedy!).

Oh my god your piggy is so beautiful. 😍😍😍

My girls are terrible for wheeking for food... but they can see the fridge and I do sneak them a little treat when piggydaddy isn’t watching. They can keep a secret. 😂

A guinea pig is basically a furry appetite.
They are convinced they are starved despite enormous piles of hay, nuggets and vegetables being provided daily.
My Jemimah let rip with her extremely loud wheek about 5 minutes after they’d polished off a pile of grass!

The wheeking at you is part of slave training

Piggies are opportunistic! They’ll try and get food from us at every opportunity. It makes eating crisps (or opening apples) very difficult 🙄

My lot are the same.
One starts and then the other joins in.

Ruby will wheek and press her rather large belly to bars while standing next ot a full bowl of pellets, with a plate of fresh food behind her.
I have no idea what she even thinks she might get, but it could somehow be more than and better than all the food in her cage

I try to ignore them as much as possible but it's hard when we have non piggy people over who just don't seem convinced that they are fine :))

"Are they okay?" "Uh, yes." "But they sound really upset." "They're okay." "But that's a really awful noise, they must need something." "...no, really."

More fun if they decide the poor guinea pig needs cuddles though. Guinea pig pulling a surprised Pikachu face like "no wait this isn't what I meant what's going on"

is your muesli piggie good food or full of sugar and supermarket bought.
I rescued a piggie and his food was muesli and poor lad had tons problems with his poos and when I realised I got him good with nice pellets and veg hay
Your piggie look Brill and great when they demand food. lol. great guides on this forum..
