Well it would seem we have yet another fussy eater in the house!

All 4 LOVE the Burgess Excel Blackcurrant and Oregano pellets and they will pick at the Gerty Guinea pencils (using the bag up slowly!) Lettie and Theo wont touch PAH nuggets and Bluey and Piper would rather not eat them - no bother as it's pretty much all gone and I wont be buying it again.
Then Science Selective Lettie picks at, Theo will eat a couple a day, Bluey loves and Piper eats because it's there!

They all have their favourites with veggies, with all 3 girls sulking if given celery (but Theo loves) no one liking tomato, apple or banana, Bluey and Piper loving Corriander and Parsley, Lettie not so much, and Theo only really eating spinach or soft lettuce!

Theo did try his cucumber today, and didn't mind it, and gave red pepper (which all 3 girls will take your arm off for!) a tentative sniff/lick/nibble..... I think he has buried the little bit I have given him as I can't see it in his pen!
He is even unsure of green spaghetti (grass!) which pretty much confirms to me that his diet has been lacking, poor lad!

So, do you have fussy eaters? How do you get round buying several different feeds?

I tend to find they will eat it as a last resort.

Tomato is Erm.. Disliked by Wilma she won't even touch it fortunately Fred loves it so happily makes it disappear for her.

The terrible twins will eat tomato as a last resort. Cucumber we like for the skin, that middle bit is just to stand on.

I tend to give whoever is refusing to eat something a little extra piece of something they like. My little Wilma is getting old, she's a dainty little one. She has such bad cataracts her full eyes are white and all food comes from the vegetable gods from above. Don't tell anyone but she does get special treatment. She isn't a big eater so I tend to keep extra bits for her as everyone eats so quickly in comparison.

Oh bless little Wilma! Lettie is spoilt too, she gets the bigger bit of pepper and the select bits of hay! lol!

I'm quite happy to buy different feeds and mix them, especially as it seems that there are only a couple that they will all eat readily, I'm just glad they don't have a taste for expensive hays and such too! Haha!

Goodness yes - 4 fussy boy eaters here too! I've tried all sorts of pellets including the expensive Oxbow ones. They are all finally in love with Burgess blackcurrant & oregano which we only recently got imported into OZ. When the Burgess first arrived I tried the mint ones, they didn't really like then and I had to throw them out after only half a bag. They are also fussy on vegies but at least that's easy to control who gets what. Hazelnut & Peanut Butter love to chew on wood chews & loo rolls but not Donny & Mason. Donny & Mason on the other hand love to chew on a nutritious & high fibre snack that the other won't even try. At least all 4 love their meadow hay & timothy hay!

My biggest failure was buying Bunny Guinea Pig Dream pellets, They ate them long enough for me to put in another order . Now they've stopped eating them !

Erm, I have a whole packet (still sealed ) if anyone wants them !

I have two very fussy eaters when it comes to veg. They love cucumber, carrot and beetroot will eat a little bit of lettuce but everything else is very hit and miss. When I first had them they were quite good but as soon as I grew it in the garden they stopped eating it - spinach, green beans, parsley, coriander, mint, tomato. Even home grown carrot, beetroot and lettuce has been rejected, I wonder if it tastes stronger when just picked.
Walking is painful for me at the moment so my partner went hay shopping for me. He got meadow and timothy, but it's not the usual ones as he shopped where it was most convenient, little devils won't eat either, I mixed a bit of fresh grass with it this morning to tempt them.
Not had a problem with nuggets they seem to eat any sort thank goodness. I always have 2 types on the go at once having had a huge problem once with a rescue cat who only ate one type of food and the manufacturer changed it!

I will, let me know by PM how much you want for them.

Not sure if its the grass or just hunger but my little fuss pots have just eaten most of the hay in their trays. To be honest it's a relief I was getting worried as they'd hardly touched it today.

I'm afraid I apply tough love. I only feed one set of pellets take them or leave them. As long as they have endless hay and their veggies I think they are ok. They all give in eventually and eat what's on offer!

I have always been the same @VickiA but then we had Lettie who was so tiny and thin, and then the subsequent fluffs were small for their age, and teeny Theo... I have gone soft! haha!

We got them some Chamomile hay today, as a bit of a change and treat for them all, and also because chamomile is so good for uterine, urinary tract general 'women's' infections and issues... not spoilt AT ALL!
They have all had a little nibble on it and now Lettie is back in bed, Bluey is using it as a pillow whilst munching on her usual hay, Piper is in her hamburger bed - again munching on usual hay, and Theo is using the camomile hay as a den... Seriously!?! lol! x
