I'm so sorry, I know I'm a bit thick yet but I have another question! Whta does it mean when it says pigs are bonded or not bonded, do they need to be bonded and how do you do it? I'm thinking about giving a home to two needy males who live together but are not bonded and I have no idea what it means! Duh!

Bonded is just another way of saying 'living together'. If 2 or more piggys are living together, happily, then they are a bonded pair/bonded group. The same terminology is used with rabbits as well.

Piggys that have always been together are usually (though not always) happy together their whole lives. The process of bonding piggys together is when you introduce a new piggy to your 'original' piggy or group of piggys.

Hope that made sense - feeling rather tired this evening :D

Thanks a lot for that. They're 3 years old and have always been together, not sure if they're from the same litter! I wanted to ask cos 4 piggies when you're a novice is a lot of responsibility I think! But I do feel that this pair need some love and a good home
