First off... we all klnow you can't have a guinea pig and rabbit on the same food... second... would they really die? I don't know but I think not since the rabbit is only 1 and the guinea pig is 3... seems to me piggie here went 2 years with out the rabbit.... ARGH some people will say anything to get what they want.

It is possible for a guinea pig or bunny who has been separated from their partner and then becomes a lone animal to become depressed, stop eating and consequently die. Normally an observant owner will realise their pet isn't acting themselves and will take action: force feeding, spending more time with their animal, etc., but more often than not the only "cure" is to get the lonely guinea pig/bunny another companion.

It doesn't - and often because these animals are left alone due to their cage mate dying - always mean putting them back in with their old companion, it just means that you should take action to find *another* - same species - companion.
