ants

i know there is a thread some where about this cause i posted on it dont know where ? ants in my piggies homes seen them all among the hay and coming from up stairs. i know you can't use ant killer, but is there any kind of spray i can use, and piggie friendly? i know also that you can buy ant gel and powder, but the only thing is i can't sprinkle round legs, i was wondering if i could spray all out side cage they are out door pigs on the grass
