Wondering if I put the c and c on the floor with a little door and they can get back into their cage themselves, will they still want to poo and wee in every corner of the room during floortime? I'm assuming yes!
Any piggies with doors out their cage ?

I have always had a door so mine can get in and out of their cage, but only when I’m around to keep an eye on them.
Yes, they will wee and poo wherever so a tin of carpet clean spray is good to have on hand and you will spend a happy time poop picking when they’re back In the cage.
Do make sure any area they can free roam in is secure.
I thought my heavy duty bunny play pen was piggy proof until Priscilla discovered she could wriggle under the radiator in the hall and escape!
She came back the same way a few minutes later.

Yes in our last house the floor time was on lino but now it'd be on carpet. So I need some of that spray! The wee patches don't smell?

No, not if you spray them as soon as the piggies are safely back.

Er, yes.... indeed!
Scent marking is a very important part of piggy group life. They just poop on the go and usually have their peeing corners but some will pee pretty much everywhere! You'd better create a plastic lined wipeable peeing corner if they are free-roaming; hiding places are preferred.
But if you live on carpet in rented accommodation I would rather recommend to look at alternatives like a puppy run that can be attached to the cage during the day.

I’m thinking I may do this for the girls when the kids are at school. The piggies are in the dining room so I could fold away the dining table and attach the play pen so they have some roaming time. The the boys could go in the sitting room in the outside run...hmmm don’t know if it’s too big though
