Any Safe Weed Posts?

Hi everyone, I go foraging regularly for the rabbits and get them a good variety (hawthorn, dandelions, bramble, nettle, sticky weed, very long grass etc).. I only feed the piggies dandelions and long grass as I'm afraid that anything else is unsafe or will hurt their mouths.

Can they eat sticky weed? Do they feel the spikes in hawthorn etc unlike bunnies?

They can have sticky weed, they're a bit fussy about it though - not sure they really like the texture apart from new shoots, bramble (blackberry) leaves are fine, personally I wouldn't feed nettles and I would de-thorn hawthorn because it's vicious stuff!

Dandelions and dead nettle are favourites here. You can feed stinging nettles if you remove the sting, I dry mine out. They can eat blackberry leaves, strawberry, raspberry, etc... If your on Facebook there is a group called show us your weeds that's dedicated for natural foraging for guinea pigs and rabbits.
