hi i was just wondering if any 1 could help me two month ago my my first ever gunniepigs passed away wiggles was first to die she was 5years old she always looked heathy to me so when she died i was very shocked because there was no sign of her being ill the nite before she was playing and runing around with the rest of the g-pigs she was happy as could be so when i got up the next morring to find her dead i just couldent belive it :'( all the rest of the gunniepigs where lieing beside her weeping after we removed her from the cage and put her to rest twinkles was very upset she just would lie in the cage looking very sad would not play she only liked lieing and geting cuddles from me but she was also 5years 2weeks after wiggles had gone i was just looking in the cage when i saw twinkles looking in a very bad way she was on her side and was fighting all the way but when i picked her up her whole body floped i held her in my arms and watched her take her last breath but she had blood cuming from her eyes dose any 1 have any ideas on how twinkles died :'( :'( :'( :'(
Was Twinkles eating and drinking? Some pigs will refuse to after a companion dies and unfortunately without handfeeding they don't survive long without food.
Two of mine have died suddenly (not at the same time though) i.e fit and healthy and running around and eating one day, dead the next. Unfortunately you might never know the cause of death. Are your remaining pigs ok?
