He's a right softy too - I bathed him yesterday for the first time and he was so good. Think he enjoyed it.
This is Jemima who I adopted from pets at home in the summer and she is cute too - she's got curly whiskers. I'm not too sure what she is - maybe a mixture of breeds. Her hair is quite similar to my swiss boar.
I'd always thought Griff was mostly Texel. He was born in a rescue centre and his mum looked quite Texel with Peruvian tendencies. I'm not so familiar with the Swiss. Does their hair continuously grow like a Texel? Every time I turn around, I'm having to get the scissors out again, and the little fella hates it.
I have 2 Swiss, Bumble and Pixie. Pixie has a proper pedigree and everything, and could be shown to a high level...but she and I both prefer cuddling and watching tv so we don't go in for all that! I went to a breeder for her as Bumble is such a wuss he needed an equally chilled pig to live with, I was lucky to get her as they usually hang on to their females. I love them both to bits, they are def my favourite breed. My vet had never seen them before so they both got paraded around the surgery when we went in, hehe!
Pixie when I got her at 6 weeks...she's loads bigger now!
