After spending the past half hour poking a big chunk of solidified poo and dirt with a biro, I've come to the conclusion that our hoover just can't handle guinea pig poos.

Can anyone recommend a good hoover that can be used to suck up the poos on a daily basis? Preferably something smaller (like Dust Buster size) that I can get easily into the cage, as my baby bump's getting bigger every day, and I'm starting to struggle manouvering the big hoover.

I got a small cheap hinari handheld hoover out of instore/poundstrecher it works really well but needs emptying pretty often....

Thanks very much, guys!

I'm also using fleece, and I have a rex, so he malts everywhere- so that's exactly what I'm looking for!

then its perfect! i have two merinos, they moult like hell, and it does wonders.

Can i definitely recommend NOT getting the £10 cheapo one from Argos? The suction hole is smaller than the eye of a needle and regularly needs to be unblocked. Just about useable on the bottom of an empty C+C cage, useless for hoovering off a fleece. Looks like I'll have to get another hoover soon - it's back to using good old hands to scoop it all up! Yum! :)p

I hover out the piggies poos everyday and theres always loads to pick up. I have a dyson, which I use, and never had any problems with it, though its getting old now..

My pooch is a good poop hover but only if they are fresh, lol!
I have a paper scraper which I use to get poop of the correx.
