anyone seen this happen?

So Hes in his cage, fine, i take him out fine.. I recently got a "playpen".. When i put it together and put him in it he runs aroudn crazy and seems like hes trying so hard to find a way out.. Same thing When i set it outside and put in grass.. If i put his hide in there he will stay in there and not really come out it seems.. If i go sit in the playpen with him he will eventually run out but stay farely close to me... Is this just because hes scared of it or something? I mean its bigger then his cage so i dont know why he wouldnt like it, I put all kinds of things in there for him to play with and eat.... will it always be like this or get better if i keep putting him in there?

He should get better as he gains in confidence. Just keep talking to him and keeping an eye on him, make sure he doesn't get too scared or nervous. You can try covering part of the run with a cloth to make him feel more secure as in the wild a piggie's natural predators will sometimes come down from above.
