Apple and hazel twigs

I posted on here a couple of weeks ago about apple and hazel twigs and was advised not to give unlimited access to these. I'd really appreciate it if someone could clarify how often this means - a twig a week?

Hi,
I wouldn't give them twigs every day but as you said, a twig a week would be fine. You definitely shouldn't give them a twig a day (or every other day) as they are high in calcium. If they aren't eating other high calcium foods such as kale and celery, then you could occasionally give them one twig, two times a week, but not every week.

I give mine twigs as treats so I will probably give them a few twigs in a go and then they won't have any more for a few weeks.
