Apple Mint?

I know that guinea pigs can eat mint but can they eat all types? I got a small plant at the garden centre, thinking it was just 'normal' mint and the closest looking to what they have from the supermarket, but when I've come to pot it up I've realised that what I bought is called apple mint. Are they still okay to eat this? (I've also realised that the stalk looks a bit hairy so I'm not sure if they're going to eat it now anyway!)

I carefully avoided the lemon mint, but still ended up with possibly the wrong sort of mint... So many mints!

Does anyone know if the generic bag of 'Mint' that you get in the supermarket fresh herbs section is peppermint or spearmint? (And has anybody given apple mint to a guinea pig before? It's probably all okay but I'd rather not accidentally poison them!)
