Are all boss pigs divas?

My boss pig gets along well with her sister and they have enough of everything, but if she wants anything, she HAS to have it, NOW. If I ever have to move her, she refuses to move, staring me out. How dare you human?! She's very shiny and pretty, and I imagine that she thinks she's the prom queen piggy 😄

I thought all boss pigs would be like this, but some of you seem to have more laid back piggies?
 
I think some are more laid back. I have 3 pairs of boars and 2 of the boss pigs are very demanding but one is very laid back.
 
Our boss piggy of the main herd, bigpig Clover, is pretty chilled out. She's just big and sits on either what she wants or whichever pig is trying to take it. No fuss. Now she's getting a bit older though, she's getting challenges from the younger piggies who have caught up to her in weight- 2nd in command Blodwen pig isnt a diva at humans but is a bit of pretty prom queen and a social engineer and takes opportunities to undermine her best friend boss pig Clover whenever possible while still pretending to be her bezzy mate. And random mad Piggle can upset the whole hierarchy in a flash if the mood takes her, then pretend it wasn't her- she likes to subtley undermine Blodwen by pretending to be her friend then barbering her to give her silly haircuts or any other antics to make her look daft or get confused because Blod is a bit partially sighted and not as clever as evil genius Piggle!
Our only true diva is Tallulah skinny pig, who is incredibly demanding, and works her hooman slaves and her adoring husboar very hard to get exactly what she wants- otherwise she wheeks like a fire alarm :)

Oh my goodness, my diva pig issues pale into insignificance with all that going on 😂
 
Both my husboars, Theo with the main herd and Ollie with Tallulah, are very chilled out, but I often think this is a clever passive-aggressive male survival strategy, if anything happens to upset the ladies they take a deliberately looooong man-nap and refuse to wake up until its all calmed down and someone brings you dinner! :)
 
I have two girls the same age, 4yrs. How can I tell which is dominant? The one that shunts the other from the dish of grass saying "hey it's mine, wait your turn" is the shyer one to come to my hand 🤷🏻‍♀️. If she was the dominant one, her sister is now barbering her a bit, so I'm wondering if all those headbutts have made the tables start to turn now...

Guinea pig politics can be tricky 🙄
 
My Shelly is the most laid back boss piggy ever, she doesnt take any messing around but since she developed osteodystrophy her 2 underlings also help keep the younsters in order, so that probably helps. As she's part cuy, she does cop an attitude with me from time to time though 😂

What's cuy? Does that mean wild guinea pig? Sounds like she's got a good hierarchy going on.

Cuy are a giant breed of domestic piggy, most are extremely skittish and not very good tempered, and only live a couple of years sadly..although cuy mixes are a bit of a temperament lottery. She has calmed a lot in her old age, although she once got so annoyed with me she stamped on and broke my digital scales 😂 whereas her brother has always been an absolute sweetheart, probably one of the tamest piggies I've ever had.

How do you know if you have a cuy? My boar was 1.6kg and was from the adoption bit of PAH because he was defective or couldn't live with others they said.
 
My diva, Priscilla, is calming down now but has her moments.
Of the 3 sows it’s difficult to tell which one is boss pig.
After Merab died Jemimah and Priscilla had a piggy discussion about which of them was now boss and decided to share. As she has grown up Phoebe also wants to share being boss pig and the others let her.
Micah is defined not the boss.

All my sows are divas, all 4 of them 😂 my only really laid back one is princess who takes everything in her stride, she can be a bit bossy diva when the mood takes her but she's usually the calmest of the 4! 😂🤣

It's difficult with mixes, I only know mine are 1/4 because the person that gave me them knew the person that had their grandparents otherwise unless you've got one with a bad attitude and massive size, you wouldn't really know I don't think.

I hate that they are used for food in some countries. When i first heard about guinea pig ice cream I threw up then sobbed like a baby......my mom now jokes that we should call our piggy "Rozii Road" ....like rocky road ... (Shes got morbid humor lol)
