Hello!
I was picking conkers with family the other day and have no use to them, so they're just sitting around in a box.
My guinea pig, Chunky, loves to eat ( his name is Chunky for a reason lol), and I was wondering if Guinea Pigs are aloud to eat conkers.
It would be helpful to know asap, since picking conkers would of been a waste of time lmao.
I tried to google it but nothing worked.
Ooh, also, does anyone know any food/veggies/nuggets ( or whatever they're called) you'd recommend?
At the moment I have Harringtons guinea pig food and Chunky isn't eating much of it.
Thank you!

I am fairly sure they are toxic. I certainly wouldn’t feed them anyway.

I attach below two guides which may help you. A piggy diet should be 80% hay. Pellets and veggies should be limited. The link below details safe veggies and portion sizes. I have also included our nugget comparison chart. Ultimately the pellets you choose really comes down to your piggies taste but the fact that he isn’t eating much is not a problem at all - piggies need hay in large quantities, not pellets.

Does your piggy have a friend to live with? They are highly social creatures and should be kept in pairs.

Thank you so much, this was highly appreciated.
I'm giving my guinea pig quarter a bag of hay every 2-3 days, so he can stay warm and eat up. I used to have a different piggy for him to live with, they fought quite a lot, then became best friends- sadly my mother came aroundwhile I was on holiday and found Treasure ( Chunky's friend) passed on led at the bottom of his cage. I give little Chunky as much attention as I possibly can, and let him run around in my back garden at day when it isn't raining.
Again, thank you!:D
