Hi!

So recently, I have thought of purchasing giant African millipedes (beautiful creatures by the way). Then came the problem of housing. I suddenly realized-I could just keep them with my Guinea Pig! She is rather old and doesn't jump around as much, and the millipedes are vegetarians, so I was wondering if they could peacefully co-exist?

Hello, this is a really big no. Please don't do this.

Giant Millipedes secrete a toxic liquid that can be poisonous, it may indeed active as a defense mechanism and harm your guinea pig. They are also kept in a tank that has to be a certain temperature, in no way should these two species be kept together.

I would suggest reading up on their care before purchasing one.

It just wouldn't work I'm afraid!
Millipedes need a soil like substance to dig in and burrow which needs to be kept moist - no good for guinea pigs! They also need a temperature of about 24-27 which is far too warm for piggies.
Perhaps give them a good research before you buy any :)

I’d imagine they would scare the guinea pigs to death!
