Hi, i weighed my 2 pigs on the 22nd of August and Sam weighed 1197g and Pip weighed 1203g, now i have weighed them again 12 days later and Sam weighs 1195g (2g less) and Pip weighs 1227g (24g more) is this okay? i cannot guarantee these are 100% accurate as i just used digital kitchen scales but they are accurate enough :) Could anyone help me out? Thankyouu xx

Sounds like good healthy weights to me! I keep a record of weekly weights which shows you when theres something out of the ordinary.

Ah phew :) just got worried that one had lost 2g but the other had gained 24 :) Thankyou for your reply. I will be sure to keep weekly records on them then. Thanks again XD xx

Don't worry, it varies for many reasons - the best thing is know roughly what their typical weights are and you're in the know for any real problems then.

I think weight gains depends on age, that is a factor that has to be take into account, if they are still growing, then large gains are going to be regular. Loosing the odd gram per week, isn't a problem as long as it doesn't continue over a prolonged period without a reason.

Your boys are healthy weights. Weight can go up or down by 30g which can mean the difference between a full or empty bladder. Weighing your boys weekly helps to notice and changes.

ooh, now theres some info i didnt know piggyfan, thankyou:) they are both around 1 year and 1 month. Thankyou all so so much :) you have all been a super help :D now i can stop panicking about their weights :) x
