I think that's just a myth. Guinea pigs, like us, come in all different sizes so your girls may just be on the chunkier side. If you are really worried though you can weigh them on a kitchen scale and tell us their weights (preferably in grams) and we can help confirm if their wieght is normal.
But all in all, I wouldn't worry about it. At 2 weeks of age, they're still growing, and that's totally normal. If they were underweight, that'd be more concerning.
