Edward and Elizabeth moved in to a new cage (ferplast 160) back in August. Due to how the cage is made, I have had to put their water bottles on the side.

Now they never seem to drink water and the water in the bottles never seems to go down (I change it daily)

Are they struggling to find the water in their new cage or are they getting enough water from their veggies which consists of cucumber, pepper, green beans, coriander and little gem lettuce twice a day.

I’m a little concerned

They generally drink as much as they need so I wouldn’t be too worried. My girls don’t seem to drink much, but the boys do. I realised it wasn’t necessarily a dropping bottle when I got a new one recently!

Posh is a total obsessive over the water bottles, Ginger occasionally has a drink and Ted rarely drinks from a water bottle. Some piggies just don’t seem to need water, they obviously get enough from their veggies.
Did they drink a lot more in their old cage?

I saw them at the water bottle more in their old cage but not much x

Mine eat about the same veg mix as yours and also rarely drink from the water bottle but they all seem happy and healthy 🙂

If they are healthy and bright eyed I wouldn’t worry, you could try adding a small bowl of water and watch to see if they drink from it instead of the feeder?

Remember veggies contain a lot of water. I wouldn't worry. My oreo drank ~70ml yesterday while Chunk only drank ~30ml. It's an individual thing
