Okay, so with everything happening this past couple of months I'm having to play catch up. Firstly the boys are almost out of nuggets, and I can't get any more until next week. Had a look round the local Tesco but they only sell muesli. Yeah, no thanks. I've basically bought a large bag of harringtons and if they don't eat that...well,the burgess will arrive next week.

Blitzen is finally starting to settle down again but his matted butt is in a worse condition than I originally thought. He let me cut out one matt yesterday (with an unhappy squeak, but the scissors didn't catch him, so I'm not sure why), but there's another one, too close to the skin to cut out. It's so tight I'm not even sure it can be washed out, and it's Blitzen, so I'd lose an eye in the process anyway. Still not sure what to do there.

Meanwhile Comet's a bit daft. I got the hay bag out yesterday and he ran to the other end of the cage, where the unopened hay bag is. My arms are not that long, doofus. Blitzen only really comes out at night because that's when he feels safest but I panic throughout the day because he's hiding all the time. I know he's fine, it's just paranoia. Really I could do with some pegs and then I could give the cage a bit of a roof, but can I find pegs? Nope. The joys of flat life.

No more hospital ever at this rate lol.

Have you ever tried using a mat cutter? You can't catch yourself or piggies with it as it's very safe. Pets Corner do one if you have on near you and it's less hassle. You just hold the matted hair up and slide it underneath to cut it off :)

I don't, unfortunately. Would you be able to link one to me? I might be able to find it elsewhere, but I'd rather know precisely what I'm looking for first?

Blitzen's problem is twofold: he hates being handled, AND he's a wriggler. I have never seen a pig that will wriggle like he does. The worst part is he doesn't even need his fur trimmed...if I could get rid of the darned knots, he will at least let you comb him now. Small steps. Small, baby steps...:))

Are you anywhere near The Range in Rochdale? They do those matt splitters there, in red packaging. We have one somewhere but never used it

Haha, @Tim I am...in the sense that people keep talking about it like it's on one of the bus routes somewhere. I have never managed to work out which bus route that is >.> I should probably look that up sometime.

Daft question time... Are you anywhere near Crimble or Bamford?

Nope, I'd be more the Milnrow/Balderstone area. Oldham direction rather than Bury.

Never heard of that area  sorry. But I have just had a reply from a chum who owns a business near crimble he says the 462 and 442. If that helps!? Try using google maps to see what bus route it puts you on ;)

Aha just looked it up. 442 shares part of its route with the Bury buses, and 462 shares part of its route with the 434 (which won't mean anything to you, granted, but it's a good thing!)

Unfortunately I can't seem to find anything else except a pdf telling me what buses go where and from what stands. Looks like I'm going to need to go into the station itself. Well, damn. Can't do that before next week, lol.

Ah, TfGM, as unhelpful as ever!

Haha nah, it's more that I have deliveries arriving and need to be home to get them. And I don't like my neighbours much so I can't ask them to sit and wait for me either. Really, I just need new neighbours >.>

Ah ok, you could get one online maybe. They're £2
