Hi,
I weighed my board when they were piglets to check they were growing, but then I stopped.
Yesterday I decided to start keeping care charts again since I found out they had very bad lice (don't worry, they've been Strongholded). I thought I'd better keep a closer eye on them.
The guinea pigs we had before lived outside and we didn't really have to bother them much, but they were perfectly healthy. It seems now we have big fat wuss-pigs!

Anyway, I weighed them today. They are the same build and they are both long-haired. Figgy came in at about (out weighing scale isn't exact) 1,2 kg , and Poco came in at about 1 kg.

I was just wondering if this is fat/ skinny or if that's relatively good.

My boys are 1kg, 1.2kg and then 3 are about 1.3kg. I think boys can be between 850g and 1.5kg on average. My long haired sheltie is the lightest of the 5.
Someone with more knowledge will be able to tell you but I think yours are about average.

Adult piggies can have an enormous range of "normal" weights; yours are fairly average.

It would be good if you would weigh your boys weekl or every two weeks again, as that is a good way of spotting an illness early on.

Thanks!
Yes, we made some weekly check-up charts for them yesterday~
We've also made little graphs to make it easier to keep track if they loose or gain lots of weight.

Thanks to the both of you for the help :<>
