Does anyone use this for their pigs? Cameo has gotten very good at spitting out the fibreplex rolleyes

I picked a pot up from work today, is it ok to use? And is it used at the dose on the pot, of 0.1g per kg body weight?

Thanks!

Amanda (rushing off to work!)

I use it, especially for my UTI/interstitial cystitis/bladder stone piggies because it has no added calcium, unlike the others. I usually just sprinkle a pinch over their washed veg or add it to their Critical Care. If necessary syringe it in a little bit of water -0.5 ml should be enough.

You can order it from here (amongst other places): http://www.vetuk.co.uk/index.php?ma...result&search_in_description=1&keyword=avipro

I use it as it doesn't contain the extra calcium that other probitics have. I either add a small pinch to the syringe feed or if they are eating normally I add a small pinch to the dried food.

ETA I keep all my probiotics in the fridge to prevent the bacteria activating while in the pot.

I've used it for pigs over many years. Bayleaf is on it now: I just mix about a quarter of a teaspoon of powder (maybe a bit less) with a little bit of water and syringe it in. I do this twice a day. It's more guesswork than anything else but doesn't do any harm.

Woah - word for word or what you two! :))

Thanks for the tip WRT the fridge Suzy.

I bought a huge pot from work as it was unopened, but I'll use it for the chameleon and stuff too.

Thanks for the replies guys :)
