I took Babs to the vet today as she has a lump on the right side of her tummy that has grown large quite rapidly. The vet had checked it out some time ago and said it was fine but now it has really grown. He said it ought to be removed as it is just above her leg joint and if it grows any larger she will have trouble walking - poor Babs.

I'm a bit worried about the op as she is about 3-4yrs old and seems to act like a really old piggy at times bless her. She is the one who has had most of the ailments throughout her life as well. However, Ken removed some lumps Betty had and that op went ok so hoping this one will go well too.

Fingers crossed!

Hi - sorry I didn't update you sooner about Babs' operation...I have been away. Babs' operation went really well and her lump was removed. Ken also removed another of her lumps whilst she was under anaesthetic. Apparently as soon as she came round she was eating greens haha - the nurses were quite shocked. Her wounds are healing nicely and she seems to be back to her normal self which is great. It was quite strange - when I brought her home Betty completely ignored her for ages but Boris was straight in there being all boisterous and wanting to sniff her wound then slowly Betty decided she'd better go have a look - think she was grumpy that her mum had been away all day without her haha!
