So I got a baby guinea pig from petco on the 14th. I kept her for two days, then took her back because she was "sneezing". It sounded like a puff of air. They took her to the vet for me, and kept her for 2 weeks to give her medicine for an upper respiratory infection.

2 weeks later, I picked her up. She's still making the "puff of air sound" out of her nose. I'm not sure if she's sneezing or not. She's pooping/peeing normal, eating/drinking normal, and she runs, plays, and wheeks normal.

I'm a new piggie mom and I'm really worried. Is the puff of air sound something to worry about? I'm not even sure if it's a sneeze! HELP?

Is she still on antibiotics? if not do you know what the vet gave her? What is is she bedded on? what hay does she have?

Welcome to the forum.

Thank you so much!
No, she is no longer on antibiotics. She was on them for 2 weeks. I'm not sure what antibiotics she was on, but I'm sure I can call and ask.
I use softwood betting, and her hay is timothy hay from the pet store.

It could possibly be a reaction to the bedding if it is strong smelling. Do you notice any change in her behaviour when she is out of her cage?
