One of my baby boys is just over six weeks old now and was born with an extra toe that is attached by a tiny thread of skin. I noticed yesterday that the toe has turned black and shrivelled up completely!

The rest of his foot is absolutely fine - worth a vet visit or wait for time to take its course until (I assume) it will just drop off?

Sorry, not a very nice breakfast topic!

I would be inclined to get the vet to have a look, just in case she catches it on something.

The vet may be able to just take it off. It does sound like it's on its way out anyway though.
