I have two 7 week old male pigs I have had them 4 days how much veg and fruit should i be giving them? They get lots of hay and have pelets available, should i introduce veg and fruit gradually with them just being new babies I don't want them to get too much or two little so their hungry.

If you are not sure whether they have had veg in their previous place, please introduce it slowly, one variety at a time, ending with all the cabbages. Fruit only twice or three times a week. Apart from topped up pellets until they have got much of their weight at 6-9 months old (after which it is slowly reduced to 1 or 1/2 handful per piggy per day), young piggies get the same food as adults.

Ideally, you should end up with giving 50g/1 cupful of mixed veg per piggy per day, in how many servings you like. I like to recommed a "five veg a day" - and that includes herbs like parsley, coriander, basil, mint, dill.

Here is a link to what veg and fruit you can feed:
