Id like to preface this story by saying that the boys are ok just a little angry with me and milking it for all its worth. I went away last night it was all a bit last minute but as it was only one night we thought the boys would be fine. I gave them pellets and checked their water bottles before leaving but I forgot to check their hay. When we came back the hay tray was pretty much completely empty and it was clear they've been digging at the bedding to get to every last bit of hay. I feel awful and I can't stop beating myself up over it. The hay trays run out while I've been at work before but never when I've left them for so long. I feel terrible I care about them so much and I know piggies are not to be left without hay. I must be the worst pig mummy ever to leave them hungry while I was out having a nice time.

Aw don’t feel bad. These things happen and it’s not like you left them without hay on purpose. I'm sure they’re absolutely fine

I’m sure they’ll forgive you, especially if you give them some special hay treat 😆

Ooooops. Bad mummy award. Lol. They will forgive your eventually. But it will take a LOT of veggies.

I once got a bad mummy award when my daughter was 9 and fell over in the snow on a Thursday and hurt her arm. I didn’t take her to the hospital until the Saturday. It was broken. 😳

I was 23 and my mum did something similar while we were tombstoning, with the repeated remarks of, "You'd be finding this much easier if you quit smoking." Don't think for one minute I didn't sit and go, "neh neh neh neh neh" when it turns out my suspicions were right and I had a fractured metatarsal. I think it's a Mum thing.

And I think this kinda proves my point lol.

Hey, it was silly, but now you know for next time. We've all made silly mistakes somewhere, the problem comes when we don't stop making them.
