Hi everyone
I noticed that Loki had this little scaly bald patch on his nose yesterday. Any ideas what it is? He’s his normal self and doesn’t seem bothered in the slightest. It’s only come up in the last few days.
I’ll try to get a better picture but he really doesn’t like my phone close to him and moves his head away.
Thanks in advance x

Bit hard to tell from a photo, so it would be worth you popping along to a vet for a check up. It might be nothing, a simple scratch maybe, but If it is a skin condition starting, then it is best to get things checked and get any treatment under way before things take hold.

It’s a bit scaly looking. Almost like eczema/psoriasis. Literally only came up in the last couple of days x

That can sometimes be how a fungal infection starts, do get him seen by a vet for diagnosis

Yes I agree it sounds like the start of a fungal infection but only a vet can say for sure and prescribe the best treatment. Whatever it is it seems to have been caught early so with prompt vet treatment it should clear up fine and not spread!

Thanks guys!
I’m trying to get him an appointment with the vet at the moment. The guinea pig vet only works set days and I work shifts so it’s proving a bit difficult x
