Hi , just got a question for you experts out there...my sister told me that she knows someone who feed her guineas banana skins..are these safe? Never heard of this before....what do you think?

I don't know, I wouldn't think they'd like them much. But I guess they can probably digest them. My friend ate half a banana skin before :)>>> and he was fine . . . Don't monkeys eat them?

I give a bit of washed banana skin occasionally as a very special treat - some of my piggies like it better than the banana itself. I wouldn't give a lot because of the intensive spraying.

My piggies, especially Martha, love banana skin, way more than the banana itself! I only buy organic though... I would never feed them conventionally grown as they are heavily sprayed with pesticides.

I don't eat it though :) I would never have thought about trying it either if the rescue lady hadn't told me they love it!

That's so interesting. :) Do you know how much of it they can eat? Like would too much be bad for them in any ways?

I might get some organic bananas so!
