Can guineapigs eat banana? Ditto was sat on my knee yesterday whilst i was eating a banana and pinched a nibble and really seemed to enjoy it as he came back for more but i pulled it away as i wasnt sure if piggys could eat it. Any idea anyone? :-)

They can but it has to be a very small bit and not to often as it can cause constipation.. My Peppa and Buddy love a little bit as a treat!

On the food list it says feed in great moderation for the constipation reason.

Buddy was sat on my shoulder when I was eating a banana and I turn away and the end is in his little mouth! Hehe

As above... just a little bit occasionally.
My four love it ... I normally cut two thin slices off the end and break it up in 4 and they each have 2 tiny pieces each. They always want more though :-/

They can eat the skin too. Mine seem to like it, but they are a bit odd inbreeding

3 of mine like the occasional bit of banana. But the other girl seems actively scared of it! If you hold it infront of her she takes a sniff and bolts in the other direction!

mine love the skin too! Apparently the skin is better for them? but still to be fed in very small amounts. Mine get a strip of skin between them once every 2-3 weeks :)

Treacle loves banana, and has it occasionally as a treat. Cookie is terrified of it and will actually run away from it :))

my girls make me laugh when I cut a little off and place it in there cage .Its like they have to get ready to taste it lol .They both stand there for a bit and look like there thinking shall I ! I think its the texture :))
