Barley rings

A friend who keeps rabbits has suggested I try barley rings strictly as a 'treat' for my pigs. Anyone ever used these before?

is it a kind of brekfast cereal? I use an unsweetened oat cereal as piggy treats. As long as it's not sweetened I can't see why it would be bad?

We sell them for horses, but not heard of anyone using them for small animals before.

alot of the foods that are safe for horses are safe for other herbivores so can't see why not in small doses. We used to give are rabbits hot bran mash like we made for the ponies in the winter.

Just wanted to say I've used these now to fab effect. Helps the pigs put on weight and they're a much loved treat, can be purchased very cheaply from horse shops if anyone wants to try it
